Happier Than Expected

I bought this car for the gas mileage and price. I was pleasantly surprised by its quickness and handling. I look forward to keeping it until 200,000 miles if I can. The only bad thing so far, every once in awhile it seems like the battery has a short or something. The car may seem completely dead, take the keys out put back in and it’s fine, except tripometer resets and clock. Also, I can’t stand that lights don’t automatically shut off. I’ve forgotten a few times and had to jump it. Nonetheless, I get about 35MPG and fill up once a month. - 5.0
Perfect Fun Daily Driver

42mpg average with 40% city driving, tons of torque, predictable handling with a lot of grip for the weight/tires while still remaining comfortable on rougher roads. I’ve achieved 53mpg at 65mph. I’m 6’2” and I have plenty of room in all seats. Brakes last forever due to the engine braking effect of the DSG trans. I don’t usually like automatics but the dual clutch is my favorite and actually faster than a perfectly shifted manual. Only changes I’d have like to seen from the factory were a 7th gear for high speed cruising and a little more power but the power and 6spd is plenty for everyday driving and it feels quick on the back roads. - 5.0
Best Car Ive ever owned

The has been the most reliable car Ive ever owned. Ive had it for 8 years 170+ miles and nothing major has ever gone wrong. All repairs have been routine except a tube that supplied washer to fluid to back wind shield sprayer cracked from age and needed to be replaced. It seats 5 but more comfortably 4. I drive a lot and find it a very comfortable ride. The light Blue color is Beautiful too, it never looks dirty. Like all Gulfs the rear hatch opens up to a huge space for a compact car. I put large pieces of furniture in the back to transport with no problem. This car was so well made I wish I could by it again
